How To Combat Maskne In 3 Simple Steps

  1. To combat maskne is to take part in the least fashionable activity created since coronavirus began. Maskne (or macne as I prefer to call it) has become the new, uninvited guest to the never-ending COVID party.

As if we didn’t have enough to worry about…

The one thing we use to save lives destroys my jawline-game. Luckily for you, here are three steps to combat it and banish it for good.

CLeansing to combat maskne.

Cleansing is frequently overlooked compared to just washing your face? Why? It rids the skin of stubborn dirt that may have been missed during your shower or bath. Combat maskne first time using Simple’s Kind To Skin Foaming Cleanser. There are varying opinions about whether it’s effective or not. As someone with combination-skin, I personally find that it truly cleanses my skin of dirt and grime effectively without stripping my face of its natural oils. This is important because it makes the toning process so much easier, eradicating dirt quickly and leaves my skin feeling fresh and ready to receive my moisturiser.

Cotton mask to combat maskne.

Use a cotton mask.

Use your mask when you absolutely have to. If you’re about to enter an enclosed space, definitely have it on. However, If you’re aimlessly walking around and you have plenty of space around you, you can afford to lower it. Unless you’re allergic to cotton, it’s the best solution to combat maskne because of its breathability factor. The risk, however, is that its breathability also makes it susceptible to breathing contaminated air easily than a filtered mask. To solve this, be extra vigilant with your social distancing skills, potentially wearing a surgeon’s mask underneath for extra filter protection.

Green tea to combat maskne.

Drink Green Tea.

Green tea is chock-full of antioxidants which are brilliant for fighting breakouts in general, especially when you’re trying to combat maskne. If you’re not a fan of green tea, see it as taking super-sweet (life-saving) disgusting medicine: Add a slice of lemon or leave the tea bag in for a minute to reduce the taste. Nevertheless, it’ll give you the glowing skin you deserve!

Give maskne a run for your money. My jawline is sparkling!
